We are pleased to announce that we have successfully completed interoperability testing with MultiTech’s FaxFinder IP fax servers. The FaxFinder IP fax servers were found to provide the stability and reliability that our customers have come to expect, while also providing a rich feature set.

 

Asterisk is the world’s most widely adopted open source framework for building communications applications. It has been disrupting and redefining the telecommunications sector since its introduction in 1999. We’re very familiar with the power of open source telecommunications software via our work with HylaFAX, and we saw so much potential in Asterisk (and the SIP and IAX-based open telephony movement in general) that we launched our Telephony Depot business unit to cater to that market. It should come as no surprise, then, that our Power-T.38 SIP trunks were engineered with Asterisk in mind, and that Asterisk in its many forms appears prominently on our list of approved/compatible T.38 Fax over IP (FoIP) implementations. We are pleased to announce that we have successfully completed interoperability testing with Obihai’s OBi5vs Series Universal VoIP Adapters. The OBi504 and OBi508 were each subjected to rigorous torture testing in our labs, and performed flawlessly. We found them to provide the stability, service, and reliability that our customers have come to expect.

We are pleased to announce that our Power-T.38 fax-optimized SIP trunks have been certified compatible with Dialogic's Brooktrout SR140 fax software. SR140 is a host-based Fax over IP (FoIP) engine that brings the power of the industry-leading Dialogic Brooktrout fax hardware products (such as the TR114 & TR1034 fax boards) to software-based solutions. Dialogic SR140 is one of the most mature, most widely deployed T.38 implementations in the world.

 

T38Fax.com has passed Dialogic's rigorous FoIP Interoperability testing process, and now appears on their  list of recommended SIP Trunks. They have also published a configuration guide that explains the exact configuration they used for testing, which can be downloaded below.
